Dear Members,
 
Cardinal Racquet Club's mission is to be a Not for Profit Private Racquet Club devoted to the benefit and pleasure of its members.  Our goal is to provide our members with unrivaled quality in the tennis world.  We recognize and utilize tennis as a means of reaching out and bettering the community.  Not only does it promote a healthy and active life, tennis has been medically proven to promote self-esteem, optimism, positive personality characteristics and it has the capacity to teach the importance of competition and good sportsmanship.
 
This year, we are projecting tremendous participation from some of the best players in the Southeastern sections of the United States.  Our goal at all our events is to provide first-class amenities and services which include:  fine meals and beverages, complimentary beer and wine, tee shirts, elegant trophies and a hospitality table.
 
Over the past three years, 100% of our Sponsors have continued their sponsorship contributions at the $300 to $3,000 level after seeing the value of advertising at our tournament.  This annual tournament, since the 1970's, is our ONLY money making event.  All proceeds go back into our club for maintenance and improvements, which are on-going.  As a Patron, you have an opportunity to contribute to the many benefits that your tennis club brings to our community.
 
As Chairman of the Patron Committee for the 2009 Cardinal Classic Adult Tennis Tournament, I hope that we can all come together as a club to help this tournament become the biggest and best organized in the state.  I am asking all dues paying members to become a Patron for a $100 donation.  Your name will go on the tournament poster, which will be displayed on center court during the tournament and will remain there all year long.
 
Please contact me, Henrietta Walker at 226-9797, or George Esqueda at 864-266-1498, with your decision or mail a check, made out to Cardinal Classic, and send to 112 Cayman Way, Anderson, SC 29621, by May 1, 2009.
 
We need for you to sign up and play in at least one tournament event and to encourage or play with a non-member in one event.  If you sign up by phone (864-225-1193 or 864-266-1498), or at the club, you will save the on-line TennisLink fee of $3.00 per event.
